‘Poonar Shankar’ is the tamil film. In which shreya rendered her voice for 4 songs. Music composed Ilaiyaraja..‘Kannai Paditen’ duet by Shreya & Shriram Parthasarathy. It starts with folk type music. Very sparkling starting by shreya’s voice, Beats are well synchronized. Instruments are well performing with dazzling piece such as Flute, Bagpipes, Mouthpiece, Piano and Drums.. one beat is continuously played in the track. As it is tamilian track but very soothing to listen for 6:07 min.. Instruments are well played. ‘Ilaiyaraja’ has composed the music very catchy.
‘Thedi Vantha Devadhai’ duet by Shreya Ghoshal & Kunal Ganjawala. In starting you can tune into jugalbandi of flute, drums & piano. Kunal has catched the number in his voice and shreya has well catched it. Instruments are really played differently; good to ears. Sparkling instruments played.. track runs for 5:08; shreya and kunal has made the track outstanding with synchronization of Drums and electrifying guitar music.
‘Mallar Villilae’ duet by Shreya Ghoshal & Darshana. Starts with beautiful piece of Suitar, Piano, Drums & Tabla. As it is speciality of Karnatic music. Good to ears shreya as usual sounds very electrifying edging. Clap beats are also placed. Number seems to be rocking as well as romantic. The number runs for 6:24 min.. beautiful combination of Dholak, Tabla, Drums. Love the music of ‘Ilaiyaraja’ it says something.
‘Bavani Varugiraa’ track starts with the music flavour of ‘Mahabharat’ (Battlefield); with Mouthorgan, Rocking beats of drums, chorus singers starts the track in a very rocking way. Sung by shreya & chorus singers, number is a mixture of fast & slow paced flavour. Instruments used in a very carnatic way. Thumbs up! Track runs for 7:36min. In all, the number is well deserved & beautiful instruments joined together.
