Jr. Ntr BrInDaVaNaM – Eyi Raja (Telugu) !

Shreya ghoshal and shankar mahadevan renders this track which
sticks to the lyrics while ‘Eyi Raja’ new trendy and snazzy tunes
are mixed to give a peppy feel. The rhythm is fast, the tune is
techno-savvy and the feel and mood of the song is like fast music.
A lot of different tunes and rhythms are incorporated and overall
the effect is a mixture of the carnatic and new making it feel sound
good. Again a variety of instruments used by ‘Thaman’ who rendered
the music has given the song the zing and edge. Shreya sings on a
higher note and shankar has given the good rendition of the song.
And there is a superb surprise when one gets to hear shreya belting
out the peppy track with shankar in a telugu lyrics.

‘Brindavanam’ lyrics is simply spectacular. Appreciation to Aanatha
Sri Ram had made the lyrics. I felt the music has an international
appeal to it and yet also manages to cater to the Indian tastes. This
is one rocking album by shreya in telugu. Definitely a hard-hitting
number of 5:01 minutes that makes you want more of it.

PrIyAdArShAn’s Aakrosh 2010 !

‘Sasural Munia’ is the item number choreographed by shabina khan.
A ‘hatke’ number, as per the demand of the situation. Singer shreya
ghoshal has given a rustic-interiors Indian feel to it with her spicy voice.
Kudos, to shreya! Pritam tries to spice it up with some club sounds and slight
western touches though the number is tuned on for 5:09 minutes and stays on
to have a late 70s / early 80s feel to it. With shreya ghoshal at the helm, ‘Sasural
Munia’ which has krazzy lending supporting vocals & high pitches, & the lyrics
by irshad kamil is aimed at the front benchers.

In the film ‘Aakrosh’ there are two item numbers, but ‘Sasural Munia’ has made
an impression audio wise and visual wise in the film. Though, the genre of ‘Aakrosh’
didn’t quite warrant a melodic outing, the least one was an engaging soundtrack.
Ultimately its only the itemrised on urvahsi sharma.

StArCaSt:- Ajay Devgan, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu.

AnUp DaS Life Express 2010 !

A music director who has always delivered his best
Roop kumar rathod in life express is the best example!
The title itself is flattering to say the least. ‘Pyar ka namak’
by Shreya Ghoshal and Udit Narayan. After Sonu Niigam
shreya has sung many duets in her career with Udit Narayan.
Aaja Nachle, Vivah, Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi are the spontaneous
examples….. Huhhhhh!!!

The soft titillating beats of “santoor” with fine display of  tabla loops
& violin chorus set pace for romantic duet “Pyar ka namak”. A pure
listening delight for Roop kumar rathod. As the slow pitched music
forms of this tradionally delivered love song. Udit Narayan along with
Shreya Ghoshal make the best use of simply written lyrics by Shakeel
Azmi that emote the sentiments & love of the innocent lovers. As usual,
shreya holds the mike & sings feminine sentiments with equal zest and
fervor and coordinates well with udit’s voice.

StArCaSt:- Kiran Janjani….. Nikhil, Rituparna Sengupta
….. Tanvi …. Divya Dutta…. Gauri Yashpal Sharma….
Mohan Alok Nath…. Nandita Puri!

HeMaNt MaDhUkAr’s Flat 2010 !

In a bid to blow you away from the start, Bappa lahiri
dusts off some of his favouriate instruments (guitar,
violin in main) and comes together with our favorite
playback singer for the soft voice shreya ghoshal which
is titled as Pyar itna na kar… and the result is a fabulous
love ballad that will instantly put a smile, emotions &
love on your face… it’s the enticing melody that does it!

Just listen to shreya’s vocals during certain high pitched
verses and you will agree that this sterling rendition raises
the song to new heights, Kudos Shreya! virag mishra is a
masterful lyricist and his lines for ‘Pyar itna na kar’ hold
the intended impact the music has been toned down a touch
here; its slower & softer especially during shreya’s rendition.
Bappa has put the icing on the cake to Pyar itna na kar with the
addition. Shreya puts certain flavour to the song that make it
enjoyable, shreya’s efforts thus praiseworthy again!

StARcASt:- Sanjay Suri, Jimmy Shergill!

Pinaki CHoUdHaRi’S Aarohan (Bangla) !

By the early twentieth century, the sense, that there had
been a decisive break with the musical part led to the
establishment of the nineteenth century as “The romantic
shreya era”! here, I come with new bangla track titled as
‘Dil ko churake’ sung by playback star ‘Shreya Ghoshal’!

“Dil ko churake”this type of music which were extremely
popular in the 1980’s. a magical flute piece intersperses
after the antara while a whiff of melody flirts with the idea
of intense romance. A jewel of a shreya’s line is one of the
highlights of this number as one feels like singing it again
and again. Arrangements are hipo-happening as the key
board fillers dress up the entire song as if a beautician
giving final touches to a beautiful bride.

Shreya’s vocals test the length & breadth of medium scale.
The absolute control that she exhibits while peaking towards
the heights of sentiments is a riveting delight. As lyrics are
penned by  Hara Prosad Mondal and it runs for 4:35min!
In arohan, music composer Suparno Kanti Ghosh gives shreya
ample opportunity to showcase her immense talent in a song
 of the lifetime….

StArCaSt:- Soumitra Chaterjee, Sandhya Ray, Samodarshi
Dutta, Rituparna Sengupta!

AsHiSh’S mItRa Bejonma (Bangla) !

“Bejonma” taking a cue from tese word, this time it is
the turn of Ashish’s Mitra to tell a story close to his heart.
The track titled as ‘Piriter eto jala’ sung by our nightingale
bird singer Shreya Ghoshal & famous disco dancer Bappi
Lahiri. BoNg jodi together watch it!

Bappi Lahiri creates a great setting through his brilliant
musical arrangements just before the singers of all seasons.
Shreya, starts crooning ‘Piriter eto jala’ with grttttt Bappida
chipping in with his voice. It is a soulful number about a
female who is looking for assurance & support from her
beloved and is ready to let go everything of his fire for love.
Inspite of its 6:41minutes long duration it is a track that one
would love to listen for an extended period of time.

In Bejonma each & every song has been treated to beautiful
melody and it is difficult to point out a single number that
works most. Shreya Rocccckzzz!!!

StArCaSt:- Lokesh Ghosh, Shreya Pandey, Satabdi Roy,
Laboni Sarkar, Biplab Chattopadhyay, Kaushik Sen,
Mukesh Khanna, Dulal Lahiri & more…..

‘I don’t sing when I’m disturbed’ (DeCcAn HeRaLd) !

Shreya Ghoshal needs no introduction as far as Kannadigas are concerned. With more than 50 Kannada songs to her credit, the popular playback singer is all praises for Kannada film industry.

She finds Kannada songs melodious and feels that they have an Indian identity. “I am much involved with the Kannada industry. Kannada is no more an alien language to me. The kind of music that is being made here is awesome and every music composer here scores great songs. And the good thing is, a lot of experiments are happening,’’ she says.

Many people might not know that when she was a child, she had won the first prize in the children’s episode of Sa Re Ga Ma. “I started singing when I was a kid. My parents encouraged me all the way and I got trained in Hindustani classical music under many gurus,” she says and adds, “I was looking for every possible way to nurture my passion. My film career began in 2000 with Devdas, where I got an opportunity to sing five songs.”  Interestingly, she won two awards for her debut singing in Bollywood.

Since then, Shreya has sung in nearly 200 movies in nine languages under various music directors. It is surprising to know that Shreya doesn’t listen to her songs. “I get bored of crooning a song several times. I prefer listening to Lataji’s or Ashaji’s songs. And the influence of Chitraji is great on me,” she avers.

What does she do to maintain her sweet voice? “Nothing, I never sing when I am disturbed, upset or not feeling well,” says Shreya, who is ready to face any kind of situation. “I like all kinds of experiences in my life and don’t want to be the same all the time. I am open to all kinds of ups and downs, struggle and excitement,” she quips.

Though she was introduced to Kannada film industry in 2003 through Paris Pranaya, she became a household name with Mungaru Male. “The film revolutionised the entire film industry. The music was wonderful and I liked all the songs. After Mungaru Male, offers from Kannada poured my way,” says the talented singer, who doesn’t want to act. “It is not an easy task to act in films. It needs dedication and mehnath (effort),” she adds.

What does she feel about Bangalore? “The City is very nice and Bangaloreans are well educated. They are high spirited and know how to have fun,” she concludes.

Shreya’s preferences (TimEs Of InDiA) !

Singing in other languages isn't a big deal for Shreya Ghoshal, whose mother tongue is Bengali.

"Singing in Hindi is nice, but restrictive. Regional languages are more rhythmic, have a different tone and sound, making it more interesting," says Shreya, who's excited about her songs in
Pancha RangiEndhiran and Anwar.

And while music continues to be the singer's primary passion, it is unlikely that she will put together an album of her own songs. "The Indian music market is very film-oriented, and any other creative music venture doesn't receive enough support. I'd rather do singles and put them on my website," she remarks.

Life Express tells us about an urban couple Tanvi and Nikhil who do not have time for anything other than their careers but have to turn to a couple from rural India Mohon and Gauri who stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Listen online to director Anup Das talk exclusively with Washington Bangla Radio about Life Express (audio interview) - click here »
This film is about motherhood, love, aspirations and priorities people make have in their lives touching upon major social issues as well. The subject matter is a little complex, but very able actors and actresses have been chosen to play parts which befit them. The film directed by Anup Das (a first time director) stars our very own Rituparna Sengupta, Nikhil Janjani, Divya Dutta,Yashpal Sharma, Alok Nath and Anjan Srivastav - all brilliant actors and actresses in their own right. The music director is Roop Kumar Rathod which is another big surprise and he has sung in the film as well as has Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal and Kalpana.
The film which will release on 17th Sept, had it’s press meet in Kolkata at Plush, The Astor in the presence of the director Anup Das, Rituparna and Yashpal Sharma. The film has been produced by Sky Motion Pictures who are producing a film for the first time.

AmAl nEeRaAd’S Anwar 2010 (MaLaYaLAM)!

With a great cheering smile on my face bought 2 new tracks of
ShReYA gHosHal from the movie Anwar. The titled track name
as ‘KiZhAkKu PoOkKum’ & ‘KaNnInIMa’ seriously guys, you
will enjoy lots!!! So, lets pick out the tracks from the album anwar
which is well – renowned and titled as ‘KiZhAkKu PoOkKuM’!

‘Anwar’ with a tagline “Adventorous” has a thrilling theme,
WoW! gopi sundar comes out with a very enthusiastic piece &
energetic music. By listening to ‘Kizhakku Pookkum’ track you
are immediately going to grasp it with a huge difference. Rafeeq
Ahmed penned the lyrics in Malayalam & Fassi form. Vocals are
rendered by my favouriate singers ShREYA gHOsHaL, nAvIn IyER,
SaBrI bRoThErs the style & rendition is so fresh. The track has a
great heady mix of rhythmic tune, scintillating vocals by shreya.
Among others & that is meant to be brilliant of its own.

The creation, performance, significance of shreya varies with music
according to cultural & social context. She brings different
feel in music. Shreya is a soul of music. The chorus singers has
also done damn grttt job. Just listening one step of the lines you can
use the rhythmic lyrics ‘HaTTs OfF’! as the lyrics are tempting
to listen and it runs for 5:07 and will realy make your day soulful.

‘KaNnInImA’ track is just scrulptured and made for shreya. I was
just shockeddd! By listening it for first time. I dint recognized the
voice. Hmmm….. then I meant its ShREyA gHoShAL’S voice. Its
a real gift to all shreya fanzzz. ‘Kanninima’! she has sang the track
in such a sexiest way as she does always but this time its total PhAdoOo!!!
Track runs for 3:32 by my personal experience advice to all shreya fans
just listen this track and enjoyyyyy. Sung by ShReyA gHOshAL & nArESh IyEr.
By my point of view, I felt the picturisation & music of ghost as well
known movie AkS I love the rhythm of this youthful joyride song with
a soothing feel piece of guitar. The tapping sound in the middle of the song
is absolutely appreciating. GoPi SuNdAr has just catch up m mind with a great
feel of music & vocals by ShrEYa its just mindblowing & magic.

Carnatic music is considered one of the oldest systems of music in
the world. As we know carnatic music is the system of raag as (melodic
scales) and tals (rhythmic cycles). The beautiful blending of the beauty
and devotional element has made it shreya’s voice divine. In hindu scriptures,
music & god have always been depicted together as shreya is depicted to her
sweetest fans very closely as she treats us as family.

The legendary musician of ancient times TaNsEn brought a new
genre of music in the history of Indian music. Which has called
SeNiA gharana. Then his sons carried forwarded legacy with
RaBaB players gharana & SiTaR players gharana. And in 21st
century its ShReyA gharana.

TaRuN dHaNrAjGiR’S Kis Hadh Tak !

Huhhh! Extremely sorry for posting the tracks late. I was bit
busy with my projects of BMM. So, I apologise for my mistake.
So let’s forget and start the review. The track titled as ‘CHoRi
ChOrI’ from the film ‘KiS hAdH tAk’!

ChOrI cHoRI song sung by playback star Shreya Ghoshal and
Abhijeet Bhattacharya. Which reminds me one of the kind com
positions that were created in 60’s….. this song is about romantic
feeling of an adolescent love. A spanking romantic duet of abhijeet
and shreya which contains best elements of music.

Of fill-ins crème da la crème rhythmic lyrics. Trendy beats & a
simple soulful soothing track at its own. As shreya is meant the
queen of expressions she bought a very auspicious feel in chori
chori. As she always does!!! Lyrics & music are penned by Abid
Shah.

As shreya has also done a duet with abhijeet in the track ‘Tumhe
jo maine dekha’ from ‘Main hoon na’…. with her magical voice
and heartthrobe singing has just bloomed every heart. A sweet
mellifluous track runs for 3:35! As the track also has two versions
one simple & the other iNdIaN mIx. Both of them RoCksszzzzz.
It really feels touching when shreya sings such kind of duets with
romantic feeling of springs (DiL gArDeN gArDeN Ho GaYa)! As
I gave lot of expressions in this review. So lets check out guys!

Music is the creation, performance, significance & even the
definition of music vary according to culture & social context
that ShREyA proveddd! Just listening to it once I got addicted!
‘CHaUl RaStAy’ is the track which symbolizes about our daily
life. Words express in the track such as trumlight, thermometer,
friends, romance all flavours of the world! romantic number same
as if you are addicted o ‘PhERARi MoN’ film (AnTaHeEn)!

The music of piano, bagpipes, violin, flute just need to say a great
harmony & authentic interlude of DeBjYoTi MiShRa & AnUpAm
RoY with a soul & streetful music. A rhythmic fast track of 4:17!

‘UtChE jEgE sOkAl GulO’ tremendous start up fast paced track
sung by SHrEyA! in her saccharine voice. With combining vocal
or instrument all sounds or tones in varying melody, harmony,
rhythm & timbre. So as to form structurally expressive composition.
Need to say shreya is best, to bestter, to bestest!

Starting the harmony of the track has a slow paced version and in
just a second it transfers to fast paced number with techno beats
overviewed. A grttttttt similarity from the movie ‘PaRiNeEta’
tracks! never minddd. ShReya deserve to be the topmost worlddd
singer sensation in today’s young generation.

Upcoming tracks of Shreya Ghoshal Anwar (Malyalam),
Kis had tak, Jhootha hi sahi…. ComInG sOoN!
