Rajshri’s – IsI lIfE mEin !

‘Meet-Bros-Anjjan music rarely disappoints. And they have lived up to people’s
expectations once again with great tracks in Rajshri’s ‘Isi Life Mein’. With lyrics
of Manoj Muntashir. The album contains many tracks. but I would like to talk
about 4 track where ‘Shreya Ghoshal’ rendered her voice with many musical
stars. Isi Umar Mein, Ramji 24x7, Lol- live out loud, Tere Pyar Mein. And the
countdown begins…. Are you ready people??? Loud!

‘Isi Umar Mein’ it’s a remarkable of the enterprise so far is melody at its best
with a western base to it. A kind of number that can be instantly associated
with music ‘Meet Bros Anjjan’ the voice associated for ‘Isi Umar Mein’ are
Mohit Chauhan, Dominique Cerejo, Shreya Ghoshal. If we listen to this number
keenly shreya & mohit has done a fabulous job. And it runs for 4:45min….
shreya’s flowing narrative that makes it an ideal candidate to be played on your
date with the one you love! And the words such as Twitter, Facebook all internet
sites words are used that’s the gripp of this number. As instruments speaks then
thats the reflection only guitar truly used. Makes more special !

‘Lol – Live Out Loud’ has a total rock feel with heavy percussion & contemporary
sounds. A power-packed song, it is sure to attract listeners, especially youngs-
ters. The voice rendered for this track are Shreya Ghoshal, Meet Bros, Suzanne
D’mello. With a bang mellows and it runs for 5:07min… the music then becomes
more indianised. But it does revisit the rock mode in the last minute as well…

‘Ramji 24x7’ which has an electrifying start with the strumming of the guitar, is an
amalgamation of a hit bihari pop song by singers Shreya Ghoshal, Kavita Seth,
Debojit Saha. The song sets the mood by mixing both Indian & western influence
As well you can also rate this track by foot-tapping, peppy music. The lyrics are
the highlight of the song and it runs for 4:16min… But, needless to say, shreya
has sung the number with potential to impress music buffs.

‘Tere Pyar Mein’ is a beautiful rendition in Mohit Chauhan’s, Shreya Ghoshal’s,
Dominique Cerejo’s voice with 90’s ka chaska ‘Tere Pyar Mein’ starts with a
soothing alaap by Mohit. A romantic song that is extremely soothing to ears.
Tere Pyar Mein…. strikes a chord with the listners. The song with shreya’s
voice has a feel good factor. On the whole, ‘Meet Bros’ has done a good job
with the soundtrack and created songs that are sure to become hits.

FaRaH kHaN’s – Tees Maar KhAn !

Directed by Farah Khan, Tees Maar Khan, is a comic caper, which stars
Akshay Kumar as a con man & Katrina Kaif as an aspiring actress. Those
first cool like notes were written by Shirish Kunder, & the rest of the songs
that make up the ‘Tees Maar Khan’ track list were composed by the great
team of Vishal – Shekhar. Shreya Ghoshal & Shreya Ghoshal has sung 2
tracks. what one excepts is not less than a rip-roaring musical journey.

By the time you wait for this number to hit the tube, why not just listen to
one of the most innovative number composed in the recent times ‘Wallah
Re Wallah’ voices rendered by Shekhar, Shreya Ghoshal, Kamal Khan
and Raja Hasan. ‘Wallah Re Wallah’ is an immensely catchy number that
need more & more listening to be registered on one’s lips. A superb ‘qawalli’
by ‘Shreya Ghoshal’ fused well with the modern-day beats, it is elevated to
greater heights by mind blowing tunes & lyrics. Vibrant florescent colours.
A cool chemistry of ‘Shreya Ghoshal’ in ‘Wallah Re Wallah’ which sounds
Youthful for 5:28 min… a full-fledged foot tapping number !

‘Badey Dilwala Jo Khole’ is a youthful track that is rhythmic, vibrant & lively.
A song, which is sung by Sukhwinder Singh & Shreya Ghoshal. there’s only
one man who can ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ his way into our hearts. With shreya’s
& sukhwinder’s gusto vocals the song is elevated to another level entirely.
Shreya shows a new side & infuses the music with shimmer & a few winks
too. As well we can tune into English section its naughty & freaky in the track.
The track goes on for 4:55 min… Shreya’s light groove & then the layers of
music makes for the highlight song of the album. Kudos to shreya !

YaSh RaJ’s BaND bAaJa BaaraT !

With the album turning out to be preety good so far, one
starts searching for some more romantic chartbusters in
the album as expectations conyinue to honey soaked voice
with every passing song. That’s thankfully ‘Shreya Ghoshal’
with ‘Aadha Ishq’ of today’s times will take you to the romantic
ballat for 4:45 min… a love, romantic, touching, soothing &
mellifluous track with a urban & Punjabi tadka into it. We can
except this type of music because its bro’s ‘Salim-Sulaiman’ with
combination of lyrics ‘Amitabh Bhattacharya’ although, if we see
the other track of ‘Band Baaja Baarat’. ‘Aadha Ishq’ impressed me
a lot & all the viewers. If we talk about spectacular instruments used
in this wedding movie is speechless all Punjabi & urban mix instruments.
‘Aadha Ishq’ should get five out of five.

Ramayana – The EpIc !

Tu hi tu HaI’ on the album ‘Ramayana’ which is a very melodious track
And as its animated movie so the track seems to be very adventure type
Voice rendered are ‘Shreya Ghoshal’ and ‘KK’. Shaarang Dev Pandit has
got a good melody for this movie. In this made use of the western symphonies
to make a good track & which sounds good. It also has shades of ‘Ganesha 2’
lyrics in this tracks are well established with pure Hindi & Sanskrit words. Overall,
Shreya Ghoshal has done a classic job. The track is too long & the melodious
classic epic is for 6:47 minutes. Enjoy pppplll…

Maalik Ek !

“De De Thoda Sa Pyar” the music is based on ‘Shirdi Saibaba’.
You can say miracles of Saibaba which happened when he was
alive. Solo track by ‘Shreya Ghoshal’. The music is a feel of ‘Kohli’
type. Maharashtrian Flavour it runs for 4:23 min; music by ‘Anup
Jalota’. The instruments based on maharashtrian based Dholak,
Sarangi, Flute. As usual thumbs up to shreya. Her mellifluous voice
reaches to every heart. Even Goddddd !

Seenu Ramasamy’s – Thenmerku PaRukAtRu !

Here we go, for a spicious music review of track which is titled as ‘Yedi Kallachi’
and film as ‘Thenmerku Paruvakatru’. Voice rendred are ‘Shreya Ghoshal’ &
‘Vijay Prakash’. Shreya has sung like a tune & base of village love song. NR
Rahinanathan music & lyrics by Vairamuthu. Beats, are awesome…. & this
song in tollywood definite is chart-topper as it is already popular among the
circuits. ‘Shreya & Vijay’ are both outstanding. But if we see shreya’s voice
turns out to be the melodious. The music has a slight village mix with Indian
tones for 5:02 min; Shreya’s voice really sounds refreshing & beautiful.

Sri Rama Rajyam Muhurat On November 22nd !

The muhurat of producer Yelamanchili Saibabu and director Bapu's magnum opus Sri Rama Rajyam will be held on November 22nd. Ramakrishna Cine Studios, Hyderabad, will be the venue of the event. Eight songs have already been recorded under the baton of music director Ilayaraja. SP Balu, Sriram, Chitra and Shreya Ghoshal have lent their voice to lyrics penned by Jonnavithula and Vennelakanti.

Sri Rama Rajyam will star Balakrishna and Nayanthara in the lead roles. This is the second time that the duo will be working together after their hugely successful Simha. Mullapudi Venkata Ramana will be writing the screenplay and dialogues for the film. Other worthy technical credits include PRK Raju (camera), GG Krishna Rao (editing), Ravinder (art), Kamalakannan (graphics) and Sreenu (choreography).

Sri Rama Rajyam is based on a chapter of the Ramayana. Telugu cinema has witnessed many mythological films in the past. At a time when technical facilities were primitive, our filmmakers fought many odds and worked hard to create an impressive body of work. But now we have the technical competence for making a film of this genre. So, we can expect a technically well-made film.

Srijato's enjoying Autograph's success !

Enjoying the sweet taste of success is poet-lyricist Srijato. Penned by him, " Chol rastaye saji tramline" from " Autograph" is not just a runaway hit, but also has the entire city humming the notes. Now, to celebrate the song a little further, a programme by that name will see the cultural world coming together on November 20.

Srijato, who'll be reading his poems at the event, will also have "Autograph"'s composer, Debajyoti Mishra, for company. The latter will be playing violin at the do. "The song will also be sung. I don't know whether singer of "Chol rastaye" Shreya Ghoshal will be there. The male version was sung by Priyam, who unfortunately has left us. Debajyotida has said that he'll take care of the singer and I'm not worrying much," he says. Ask him why poets often shy away from penning lyrics and Srijato explains, "The popular belief is that the film world is a different territory. So, many refrain from treading the same. Personally, I listen to all kinds of songs. I'm a good listener. I took up film lyrics as a challenge and I'm enjoying every bit of it. Debajyotida, Priyam, director Srijit Mukherji and I had a great time working on the song."

Author Sunil Gangopadhyay is also happy about the change in modern film lyrics. "It shows that "Chol rastaye" has been written by a modern poet. More such works are welcome. I expect Srijato to do a lot more. So far, films haven't had great lyrics. There are readymade songwriters for films, who pen a song for every occasion. Poets coming into the scene will bring about a positive change," says Sunil.

Debajyoti, on his part, adds: "The song has generated great response. Director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury came out of the theatre humming the song. The programme is a great way to celebrate new-age lyrics." Organiser Saurav Mukhopadhyay, the brain behind the show, is elated about the trend in modern music. ""Chol rastaye" can easily be dubbed the song of the city. Apart from Bangla bands, where a movement in lyrics had started long back, we haven't seen films looking for any change. Invites will be extended to the Who's Who of the cultural world, who are actively involved in bringing about a change. We are expecting the company of Sunil , Nabaneeta Dev Sen, Srikanto Acharya, Prosenjit, Nandana Sen, Rupam, Rupankar, among many others." Touching the right chord and how!

Fiji's Sumeet Tappoo joins forces with the legends of Indian music in his latest presentation to be released this week.

The music for Maalik Ek was recently launched in Mumbai.

Everyone sways over Vijay's song !

The affable Vijay Yesudas has the whole country swaying to his dreamy hinglish song, I'll Be Waiting...
Vijay Yesudas might be a father of a two-year-old kid, but his enthusiasm and zest for life seems like one of a 10-year-old. Amidst all the crackles and laughter, TOI caught up with this handsome crooner on the
Rahman experience, debut on silver screen and lots more...

Jootha Hi Sahi...
It was almost like a surprise party sprung on me when I was called at 1 am to sing this song. It's a different kind of rush when you get called to sing for Rahman. We began recording at 4 am and I was shocked at how fresh and awake my voice was at that wee hour. A very
Frank Sinatra, Jim Reeves-like love ballad, we hardly hear such tunes these days in pop music. Abbasji patiently gave me a word-by-word translation which made a difference to my rendition. Around four-ish, Rahman sir arrived and from then on, it was a dream-like magical journey for the next two hours. It was just me and him. It was a feeling of trance. And I truly thank Abbasji and Rahman sir for giving me this beautiful song.

Silver screen experience
With the marketing and publicity of the film, Avan, the audience were misled that I was the hero. I'm not taking a plunge into acting. I'm a huge fan of the cinema industry as a whole. The camera and its magic, background scores and musicians, and all the effort that goes into making a movie has always fascinated me. Hence, I've always wanted to feel what it was like to be in front of the camera delivering dialogues. When I was offered the role of a singer, the character didn't have much complexity, and it was more of an extended guest role. My father singing for me in this movie was the highlight. From then, I have received a few offers, which I have not been able to accept, thanks to my music keeping me busy!

Having a legend for a father
...is nothing but a blessing. The ups and downs of it is something that I'll be more than happy to live with all my life.

A crazy Superstar fan...
Nothing can ever beat that for me (He's even called thala by his fans). Watching him and his movies were a part of my growing years. Endhiran is something I'm riding on for the past few weeks. First, I saw it in Chennai with my friends. Then, it was at
Dubai with my family specially, Ammeya, as it was her first feature film. Third, I saw it in London alone — at a theatre in Essex. And my fourth, hopefully not last, was in the US. I'm gunning for a fifth time and fifth country, fingers crossed!

Colleagues in the industry...
My all time favourite singers are P Susheela amma and Sujatha. To who suits me the best, it has to be my dear little sister, Shweta Mohan with whom I've had many hits; our combo is something that everyone seems to love. Shreya Ghoshal and Chinmayi are also my favourites.

brings their stillll unexplored multifarious in blends of vintage
and trendy Punjabi vibrant tones, rhythms & beats. Pritam leading
icons in upbeat musical styling gets into makeover. Action replay
where expectations are humongous and grandeur is gargantuan.
Pritam’s prolific musical finesse along with lyrics Irshad Kamil
poetic elegance scintillates splendidly by burgeoning 60’ 70’ &
80’s stylized or chestration in upbeat modulation track numbers
such as “Oh Behkabar” & “Baki Main Bhool Gayi” are solo by shreya …

“Oh Behkabar” a ‘dream come true’ mushy soft rock ballad brings
out supreme combo with delectable prosaic verses of shreya for 4:28

arrangements. Shreya’s mellifluosly driven vocals works potentially with
high acoustic works matched intelligibly with squashy violin, piano &
synthesizers notes. Cherish ‘Oh Behkabar’ it with graceful poise on enchanting
romantic evening and feel its squishy sentimental breeze…. Soulful !

The tinkling nostalgia “Baki Main Bhool Gayi” a conventional bollywood jumping

is the best solo by shreya… she as usual did an awesome job

Punarutthan's music launch party !

The music release of Rishi Mukherjee's " Punarutthan" at a city hotel was a starry affair.
Noted composer Ravindra Jain has scrored eight tracks in this film. The director recounts the guests' feedback about the same, "Oh, everyone was all praise for the film's music. Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan, Jojo, Kumar Sanu, Sadhna Sargam, Amrita Dutta, June Banerjee and even Ravindraji himself has done the playback for the songs." Coming to the English version of "Purano sei diner kotha", the director informs that the English lyrics have been arranged by Dr Gopinath Mukherjee and rearranged by Soumya Basu.

Ask the director whether his actor wife, Swagata, is critical about his work and he's quick to answer, "She is expecting that I fare well with this film. Of course, she is critical about my work. But in most cases, she is very inspiring." As they say, behind every successful man there is a woman!

Aishwarya Rai Sparkles in 'O Bekhabar' from 'Action Replayy' !

The hype surrounding Akshay Kumar's and Aishwarya Rai Bachan's upcoming release Action Replayy continues and we are now getting a look at the video for the soundtrack's tune "O Bekhabar."
The song is performed by none other than Shreya Ghosal! Her amazing vocals have won her countless awards, and Shreya puts in the same effortless sound on this track. The song has our leading lady dreaming about her handsome prince. Aishwarya is seen in soft and elegant sarees. The colors are vivid and the prints are psychedelic, very fitting for the film's theme.
Ash and Akshay make quite an adorable on-screen couple. Akshay is quite the strapping fella in his unbuttoned shirts and long locks. The costumes are quite impressive and Ash's makeup is gorgeous! The movie was shot in Manali during the summer season and the scenes couldn't be any more delightful. For Akshay this movie is something special, "It's a very special film for me for many reasons. This is my tribute to the 70s that was the greatest retro era. I was kicked with the idea because I'm entering the time in cinema where my father-in-law was a superstar. Ash and I had a brief romantic interlude in Raj Kumar Santoshi's Khakee, but Action Replayy is our first romantic comedy together. Believe me, I was blushing through the making," he told reporters.
Action Replayy is a comedy based on a 1994 Gujarati play and tells the story of a man in Mumbai who travels back in time to the 70s when he was young and handsome. Kishen, played by Akshay and Mala, portrayed by Aishwarya, are constantly fighting but they manage to rekindle their love on their 33rd wedding anniversary.
Ash and Akki have had lots of fun on the set of the movie; from disco dancers to fun loving hippies, the cute Jodi has tried on several different looks for the comedy, some of which we see in this clip. With plenty more to come fromAction Replayy, the first few glimpses have been intriguing.

MyNaA – Neeyum Naanum (TeLUgU) !

A Prabhu Solomon presentation. A John Max creation.
An D.Imman musical. After seeing these lines flash across
the screen during Mynaa trailer (Journey of love)! ‘Neeyum
Naanum’ is the song which begins with good piece of bass
guitar, tabla, drums, piano & violins. The song is rendered by
Shreya ghoshal & Benny dayal. Shreya’s syrupy sweet vocals
do wonders for the mynaa track. ‘Yugabharathi’ lyrics are a
breadth of fresh air he seems to be in fine form. Suddenly,
the basic rhythm is changed; from a western genre, you are
pushed into a carnatic music. Well, if D.Imman is given the
job to compose music, he definitely has a song or two to his
credit, this number is rendered by shreya with her distinct touch.
The Rip Rap, Hip Hop music continues but this time with a
different kind of English tracks.

The song is a mix of electronic, rock & perfect blend of classical
and soft rock. The track is dominated by the exquisite strumming
of multiple instruments like (guitars, synth, electronic acoustic violin)!
For 4:57 min. The plus point of the number is definitely the treatment
given to the lyrics and the music composition & the singers have done
a praiseworthy job! In short, the trio have tried to do something novel
& different from  their signature style, which has indeed become success!
